Oppo discount would apply for anybody here who’s interested. Thanks to everybody who gave me input, especially iNvDrZiM because I stole their formatting. Craigslist car ads cost $5 and last for 30 days, so if this one is unsuccessful, I’ll take more of your suggestions into account on the next draft.

Thanks. I'll be sad if it sells, but at the same time I'm not giving it away for free. That money will be put to good use.

No auto. :(
If I were going to get one, I’d like to buy it from one of us.

Nice ad! Sad to see it go, though
(if it were this time last year I’d be on my way to check it out!)

I would think that you can probably find a nice auto Miata at a decent price. Even if they sold fewer automatics when new, I’m willing to bet that the average automatic hasn’t been abused as much as the average manual.
When I bought this car, it was listed on the dealer website as an automatic but I could see in the pictures that it wasn't.

That always tells me right away to not look to the dealer for anything useful. They can’t even be bothered to click the right box on their own stock.

I can offer you a few hundred bucks (maybe a grand if I scrounge up some change)
and a rusty crown vic that needs a fuel pump?

My friend was a salesman at the dealership. He walked out and confirmed that it was actually a manual. When I went there to buy the car, I met the guy who was in charge of taking the pictures and doing the details of the online listings. He was a semi-retired man in his 60s and he didn’t give a shit about anything. When I mentioned the error to him, he said “I’m too old to go crawling into tiny sports cars to double check what transmission they have!”

I honestly think that my driveway is too steep for a Crown Vic. It would scrape with those big overhangs. Our Civic nearly scrapes.
The previous tenant had a Grand Marquis and kept it parked in the street.

The front overhang isn’t outrageous but the 3-
4 feet out back is pretty bad. There’s a gas station here that I’d bump one of the tailpipes on the ground if I pulled in at the wrong angle.

Haha. No fucks given. Probably shouldn’t be given that job then. Good thing your friend was on the job.

I’m sticking to my plan of finding a hard-top utility vehicle to complement my Wrangler, but damn if that isn’t a beauty.

Very nice! I had a 94 Miata with the LSD once upon a time (along with a 90). That 94 was in my top 2 most fun to drive cars I’ve ever driven, maybe number 1. Loved it loved it loved it.

Nice ad. I do the short/long thing with emails at work. For technical emails to non-technical staff , it works great. The short version covers all the bases, and the detail is there for those that want or need it. Very effective.

Thanks. I got a lot of help from folks around here. I don't enjoy the process of selling cars (I usually just drive them until they die) so I hope it goes smoothly.
